Undergraduate Program for Specialty in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics

Ⅰ.Program Objective

Through rigorous basic training courses, and specific core courses, as well as initial training of scientific research, to make students understand the characteristics of the development of mathematics, solidly obtain basic mathematical theories and methods, and then to lay a solid foundation for their future development. For young students’ the theoretical study of mathematics or to become a outstanding mathematician in future, to provide good mathematical foundation, to raise strong sense and ability of innovation.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:

1. Solid grounding and excellent basic training in mathematics;

2. Skills to solve actual problem and ability to do certain scientific research;

3. Skills to express, and to master data query, document retrieval and the basic method of using the modern information technology to obtain relevant information.
